Role 
We are seeking a Corporate Controller that can bring a "best in class" approach to accounting processes, as well as a "roll your sleeves up" attitude to our business. This position will manage all accounting functions and lead our public financial reporting efforts, as well as a number of projects as the company scales.

Duties

Perform and manage the monthly and quarterly close processes, including management reporting and financial statement reviews with key stakeholders to ensure integrity of the financial statements.

Anticipate and evaluate business requirements to ensure processes, organization and financial systems appropriately evolve to support the business.
Responsible for the implementation of new accounting standards (both U.S. GAAP and IFRS) including ensuring the accounting, processes, and controls are accurate, effective and efficient.

Prepare and deliver quarterly Audit Committee presentations.

Maintain and manage financial accounting policies and processes impacting payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, consolidation, financial reporting and related processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, closing, statements, analysis and schedules.

Coordinate the planning and execution of quarterly reviews and annual audits with our external auditors and SEC counsel.

Proactively monitor current FASB, IASB and SEC activities and evaluate the impact of adopting new accounting standards.

Effectively communicate with all levels of internal management, third party service providers, external auditors and the Audit Committee.

Develop and maintain process documentation for the Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Program.

Responsible for preparation of all financial SEC filings including Forms 10-K and 10-Q, and other external and internal reports including quarterly and annual earnings releases.

Maintain budgets, forecasts and cash flow projections.

Interface with insurance providers – property/casualty, D&O insurance, benefits programs, etc.
Administer the stock-based employee compensation programs.

Qualifications - CPA Required
Excellent communication skills.

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.

4-6 years in public accounting.  At least 2 years of successful people/team management experience.

Hands on experience as a Controller with SEC reporting experience preferred.

Technical expert related to U.S. GAAP & IFRS accounting and reporting.

Ability to lead complex projects which require influence and implementation across business groups and functions.

Must demonstrate strong leadership skills, high energy, initiative and creativity. Must be a strong manager with proven ability to develop and motivate staff.

Attention to detail, organized and thorough with desire for continuous improvement.

Must be a "self-starter" with a can-do attitude and a serious desire to have a positive impact on our company.

Hands on experience with Quickbooks Enterprise general ledger and reporting packages preferred.

Experienced user of Microsoft Suite (Excel, Word and Powerpoint), familiarity with Database management programs and external payroll processing/HR software.

Knowledgeable of payroll and payroll tax related regulations and familiarity with corporate income taxes.

Compensation 
Salary range is DOE with a target of $100,000 + Company equity incentive plan with review after 90 days.
